Staatsoper Unter den Linden
The Staatsoper Unter den Linden – the dream of Frederick the Great come true – has been exemplary for outstanding musical theatre for the past 275 years. Opera as an art form is unequalled in its manifold facets, in uniting so many people on and behind stage, in its ability to interpret and re-interpret, in magnificent settings, Drama and Comedy of human condition.
The Staatsoper’s international standing once again became manifest during its 275th anniversary celebrations in 2017. Famous musicians and representatives from politics and economy came together. It was in this gathering that the foundations were laid for an association dedicated to supporting the world-famous Opera House.
