Alessandro Spina
Graduated from Conservatory “G.Verdi” in Milano, Alessandro Spina is one of the most talented basses of his generation. Trained also in stage acting, he has made his operatic debut as Lunardo in I Quatro Rusteghi by W. Ferrari at Teatro Verdi di Pisa.
He has performed in such venues as Teatro alla Scala, La Monnaie de Bruxelles, Opéra de Montecarlo, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Arena di Verona, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Opéra de Nice, Opéra de Royal de Wallonie de Liege, Opera de Tenerife, Wexford Festival and Macerata Opera Festival.
He worked with such conductors as Roberto Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Asher Fisch, Daniele Gatti, Michele Mariotti, Zubin Metha, Riccardo Muti, Daniel Oren, Evelino Pido’, Nello Santi, Wolfgang Sawallish, Pinchas Steinberg, Juraj Valcuha, just to name a few.
