Alessandro De Marchi
Conductor and harpsichordist Alessandro De Marchi is renowned as one of the leading specialists in historically informed performance practice on both historic and modern instruments. His repertoire ranges from the late Renaissance to modern and contemporary music, with particular emphasis on the Baroque period, Viennese Classicism and bel canto.
De Marchi conducts at major opera houses all over Europe. In addition to the German radio symphony orchestras, he has conducted the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Orchestra La Scintilla, Wiener Symphoniker, Orchestre national de France and the Orchestra sinfonica dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia among many others.
