Adam Palka
The bass Adam Palka was born in Poland in 1983 and had his early musical training at the Gdańsk Music Academy, where he took part in the first performance of Tadeusz Zygfryd Kassern’s Comedy of the Dumb Wife. He established an international reputation with concerts in Germany, France, Italy, Russia and Hungary, and joined the Gdańsk Baltic Opera in 2005, appearing there as Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Colline (La Bohème), Leporello (Don Giovanni), Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Banco (Macbeth) and as Mozart’s Figaro.
In 2008 he made his debut at the Warsaw Opera as Sparafucile and from 2010 to 2013 was a member of the German Oper am Rhein. Recent guest engagements have included Leporello in Zurich and Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In 2017–18 he sang Méphisto (Faust) at the Geneva Grand Théâtre and Figaro at Cologne Opera. He joined Stuttgart Opera in 2013–14.
